The Buddha Dordenma Statue, also known as the Buddha Point, is a magnificent landmark and pilgrimage site in Thimphu, Bhutan. Standing at a height of 169 feet, it is one of the world's largest statues of Buddha Shakyamuni. The statue is made of bronze and gilded in gold, with 125,000 smaller Buddha statues placed inside. Surrounding the statue, there are many prayer wheels and a massive meditation hall for worshipers. This site is an important attraction not only for Buddhists but also for tourists who visit Bhutan.
